  • (The Wine Glass) The Wine Glass (Het glas wijn, also known as The Glass of Wine or Lady and Gentleman Drinking Wine) is a painting by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer that portrays a seated woman and a standing man drinking in an interior setting. The painting is in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin.
  • (Wine-glass) To dream of a wine-glass, foretells that a disappointment will affect you seriously, as you will fail to see anything pleasing until shocked into the realization of trouble.
  • A wine glass is a type of glass stemware that is used to drink and taste wine. It is generally composed of three parts: the bowl, stem, and foot. Selection of a particular wine glass for a wine style is important, as the glass shape can influence its perception.

Riedel Happy O Wine Tumblers, Set of 4
Riedel Happy O Wine Tumblers, Set of 4
Oh, Happy O! Perfect for celebrations or everyday use, these Riedel Happy O glasses are Riedel’s Viognier/Chardonnay model, with the bases in assorted fluorescent colors; green, yellow, blue and red. These Happy O glasses come as a set of four: one of each color.

Riedel’s new Happy O line is a colorful take on the company’s popular O line of stemless wine tumblers. Each of the four tumblers in this set features a different colored base: red, green, yellow, and blue. When used for water or white wine, the color visually diffuses into the liquid in an appealing manner. Great for entertaining, the individual colors also allow guests to tell which glass is theirs. Riedel uses the Viognier/Chardonnay tumbler for this set, a versatile size and shape that holds a maximum of 11-1/8 ounces and stands 3-7/8 inches tall.
Riedel took the wine world by storm with its trend-setting O line. By removing the stems from wine glasses, Riedel created tumblers that are less likely to break and are more storable in compact kitchens, great for today’s lifestyles. The Happy O tumblers are crafted in Bavaria of non-lead crystal, and while dishwasher-safe, they are best washed by hand. –Ann Bieri

465:1000 Wine glasses at the flea market
Poked around the Antrim Flea Market this morning. Came *this* close to buying a handful of Yashica twin lens cameras for $25 each, stepped away to think about it and someone else bought them. Found out they sell for $50 to $150 each. Oops!

Didn’t end up buying anything, but loved the brilliant sunlight shining through these coloured wine glasses onto a white table cloth.
